Derby Hungary Gic – Hungary's champion stud
The Derby-Hungary-Gic test facility, Hungary's champion breeding facility, opens a new chapter in the domestic racing pigeon sport. The world-class location, preparation and competition aim to
- identical care and training,
- uniform conditions of competition,
- guaranteed 500 km final race,
- independent of the number of denominators, guaranteed 90,000 Euros total prize money,
- and preferential entry conditions
In addition, it should offer breeders the opportunity to demonstrate the outstanding value of their outstanding pigeons and the bloodline they derive from on an international level.
The test colony, which will open early next year, will not only be a competition venue with equal conditions, but is also envisioned by the founders as the key to the future of racing pigeon racing. It will shed light on which bloodlines are the most viable, which breeders' work will stand the test of time and distance, and which birds can become genetic treasures. As an international colony, it will form a bridge between countries, even continents, and a global community can be connected here through our common passion, the sport of racing pigeons.
Although the stakes of the competitions are huge, the goal is the same everywhere: To find the bird that is not only fast and persistent, but also a real classy one!
It is guaranteed that all races will be held according to the schedule in the loft, which can accommodate up to 7000 pigeons. The final race cannot be shorter than 500 km, which is the true measure of the value of young pigeons. Any pigeon that can fulfill the schedule, and even finish at the top of the SAO list, is undoubtedly endowed with excellent qualities and is worth building on in the future.
